Undercart

Terms

Updated 28 August 2026

These terms cover the Undercart website and the Undercart app. They are written to be read, not to be survived. If something here is unclear, write to hello@undercart.app and we will answer in the same plain terms.

Who provides Undercart

Undercart is made by Live Better. Where these terms say "we", that is who they mean.

The subscription is bought from Apple

Undercart is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the App Store, at $5.99 a month or $59.99 a year. Your purchase is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which is the agreement that actually controls your use of the app itself.

A subscription renews unless you cancel it at least a day before the period ends. Cancelling and requesting a refund are both done through your Apple account, because Apple holds the billing relationship and we cannot make either happen on your behalf. We will always help you find the right screen, and we do not argue with anyone about it.

What we promise about the figures

Every price Undercart shows is either a price we read at a real store on a date we can name, or a range with both ends on screen. We do not estimate a figure and present it as a fact.

That is a promise about how the figures are produced, not a guarantee of what a shop will cost. Shelf prices change between our reading and your trolley, stores substitute and run out, and tills add tax. When a week comes in over what we said, the app shows it, says by how much, and keeps it in the record. What it will not do is quietly adjust the past.

Allergies and what you eat

Undercart removes products matching the allergies and diets you enter before a plan is built, and it does that as a hard filter rather than a preference. It still reads product names from retailers' own websites, which can be wrong, incomplete, or silently changed by a manufacturer.

Check the label on anything you are allergic to. Undercart is a budgeting tool, not a medical one, and it cannot be the last line of defence for a serious allergy.

Your account and the second seat

One subscription covers two people in a household. The person who paid can invite one other and can remove them. Do not share your code beyond the household it was meant for.

You can delete your account from inside the app, and doing so removes your household, your weeks, your receipts and their photographs.

Using the website

This site is here to explain the app. Do not attempt to break it, scrape it at volume, or use it to distribute anything. We may change what is on it at any time.

Liability, in plain terms

Undercart is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, that every store will be readable every week, or that a plan will suit everyone. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from using it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, the app will say so rather than leaving you to notice a new date on this page.

Privacy

What the app holds, and what it will never do with it, is set out in the privacy policy.
